Course Setup High Priority

Course Setup:
You will lay the foundation for a successful race by setting up the course. Volunteers will arrive on race day at 6:30am.
Your job will include the following responsibilities:
Unload the box truck and set up traffic cones, tables, chairs, tents, banners, flags, start line arch, finish line, and course signs.
Make sure course path is clear for runners

Packet Pickup - Race Day High Priority

Details

Volunteers will arrive on race day at 7am.
Your job will include the following responsibilities:
-Distribute bibs and shirts to racers that did not pick up their packets.
-Hand out replacement bibs for runners that have lost their original bibs.
-Have Runsignup App
-Answer questions or connect with Jordan (615-854-3725)

During Race

Course Monitor High Priority

Details

You will be posted along the course in areas where shufflers may need help following the course. Volunteers will arrive on race day at 7am.
Your job will include the following responsibilities:
• Ensure shufflers follow the course correctly. The course map can be found here. However, you will not be responsible for setting up the course.
• Encourage shufflers as they pass with signs and noisemakers. Signs will be provided.
• Alert Race Director, Jordan Amis (615-854-3725) of any shufflers that are in distress/injured and need a ride back to the finish and/or medical area. There will be an EMS team/ambulance onsite in case of any serious medical emergencies.

Start/Finish Line Chute Manager High Priority

Finish Line/Recovery Zone – Chute Managers
You will be posted at our start/finish line to help shufflers navigate through the start and end of the race. Volunteers will arrive on race day at 7am.
Your job will include the following responsibilities:
- Help shufflers to setup in the correct order (Assisted/Adaptive up front followed by Sprinters, Striders, Shufflers, then Strollers)
- Encourage finishing shufflers by cheering them on!
- Move finishers rapidly from the finish line to pick up water and exit recovery zone. Shufflers can finish minimal recovery along front of courthouse .
Assist any injured or ill shufflers to connect with ambulance/EMS

Tear Down Team High Priority

Details

• Assist in tear down and packing of all Shamrock and Habitat Materials (arch, signage, cones, tables, etc)
